To my understanding, Peter Parker was only a legitimate scientist for a short period of time in the Amazing Spider-Man series, where he worked at Horizon Labs under the tutelage of Max Modell designing weapons and various technologies. Pete is generally understood to have a firm grasp of science, but I’m not entirely sure he was ever officially classified as a ‘scientist’ in any of the comics.
